The Project Manager must have specialized training and experiences outlined below and be able to manage a rigorous workload for our busy clients. 
Job Description:
General Requirements
The Project Manager will have critical knowledge of and oversee the entire project and all services provided and direct management of all activities on site.  The PM will develop and manage the project schedule, as this is the road map that drives all project activities.  The PM is responsible for the development and ongoing reconciliation of the schedule and deliverables with Government Officials using our on-line SharePoint database and ensure completion within the constraints of the project contract/PWS. The primary purpose for the PM is making strategic decisions affecting the project management plan, execution, quality, scope, schedule and all activities at the project site. The PM must possess excellent communication, writing, clerical and organizational skills. As the project lead, they must be well versed in healthcare facility infrastructure, operations, and/or practice and must have direct experience and critical knowledge of transition activities for people and assets, equipment and furniture/space planning to include procurement concepts for DOD and VA contracting, IT/IM planning and general knowledge of IM/IT systems installation, medical, non-medical equipment and furniture installation requirements, MEP requirements and be competent reading and analyzing construction documents drawings, submittals etc. The PM is the first line for Quality Control of all project aspects and responsible for safety, training, and guidance to all staff on the projects. The PM will have access to proprietary information. They must maintain all confidentiality of documents and communications. The PM will be a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or PMP equivalent or be enrolled/significant progress to certification.

Responsibilities & Duties
  • The Project Manager will be required to facilitate its technical management of the contract integral to the execution of tasks ensuring effective, efficient, and timely completion of services to support the specialized outfitting transition and activation activities described herein regarding the equipping of the facility, maximizing standardization of equipment and supplies, training and provisioning of the facility and relocating the staff.
  • Responsible for making strategic decisions affecting the project management plan, execution, quality, scope, schedule and all activities at the project site
  • Responsible for assembling cross-functional teams to deliver project requirements and objectives
  • Responsible for all site activities of staff, subcontractors and vendors for the project
  • Responsible for guiding team leads/ teams in the delivery of submittals and requirements.
  • Responsible for developing and carrying out Project Management Plans, Quality Control/Assurance plans, Risk Management plans and corrective actions taken based on assigned mitigation
  • Responsible for controlling and monitoring all project site activities to ensure that deliverables meet scope, cost and schedule constraints
  • Responsible for developing and providing written and oral presentations.
  • Responsible for the safe performance of onsite operations by all staff and subcontracted personnel.
  • Responsible for developing and managing the project schedule and specific sub-specialty schedules.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with standard Microsoft Suite Computer programs including MS Project, Microsoft Visio.  Experience with Legacy DoD/VA programs.
  • Knowledge and experience with healthcare organizations, facilities and services that they provide.
  • Knowledge of medical operations, equipment and supplies required to run medical facilities.
  • Understanding of budget management and skills to control costs and report budget performance projects.
  • Understanding of the customer’s Procurement processes for FF&E and possess the ability to develop requirements and documents for procurement packages.
  • Understand a facility’s transition process and be able to perform transition planning and execution activities.
In addition to the roles listed, the PM must have a clear understanding of policies and procedures affecting the government contractors roles in supporting the customer, to include the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the respective agency’s supplements (DFAR,VAAR), EM 381.1 USACE Safety and Health Requirements, VA Directive 7701 and 7701.1 Comprehensive Occupational Safety And Health Program, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) guidelines and codes, Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and associated amendments and the Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC).
Education and Experience:
Project Managers, at a minimum, shall have the following qualifications:
  • A four-year college degree in architecture, interior design, engineering, business or a related field from an accredited college/university;
  • A minimum of seven (7) years’ experience as a Project Manager, acting in a lead role over healthcare or Initial Outfitting and Transition projects
  • A minimum three (3) years’ experience in activating Federal healthcare facilities
  • Demonstrated experience in healthcare infrastructure, operations, and have direct experience in transition activities
