Sr. Logistics Manager - Upcoming Summer 24'

Martek Global Services, Inc. eagerly anticipates an upcoming contract with the United States Coast Guard (USCG). Currently, Martek is diligently engaging in activities to acquire valuable insights into the potential candidate pool. The culmination of these efforts is expected to result in the awarding of this long-term contract with the United States Coast Guard (USCG) during the early summer of 2024.

Description of Work:  The Senior Logistics Manager shall perform all the duties, functions and responsibilities of the Logistician III.  In addition, the Senior Logistics Manager shall serve as Team Lead to maximize the capabilities of each individual member of the Team to meet requirements.  The Senior Logistics Manager shall serve as Team Lead for task organizing.  The Senior Logistics Manager shall serve as the primary liaison between the Government and the Contractor to ensure all tasks are prioritized, completed on time, and of the highest quality.

Educational Requirements: The Senior Logistics Manager shall have a Master’s degree in a logistics related field.

Experience Requirements:  The Senior Logistics Manager shall have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in conducting logistical tasks for commercial or government organizations. Logistical tasks include knowledge and experience of a broad range of policies, procedures and techniques related to inventory management in order to determine requirements, position/reposition items, initiate procurement, schedule maintenance and repair of items, and dispose of others.  Knowledge and experience of specialized methods and techniques used to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of supply programs and/or operations.  Knowledge and experience of the organization, regulations, policies and procedures of Coast Guard supply systems in order to accomplish material coordination responsibilities and make valid material management decisions.  Knowledge and experience of the technical features and uses of assigned equipment and their relationship to supply and demand condition in order to successfully manage items, coordinate supply/program support and resolve supply/program support problems.  Knowledge and experience of provisioning, transportation, storage, cataloging, maintenance, repair and disposal in order to perform material management processes and make material management decisions.

Additional Required Knowledge and Skills: In addition to the educational and certification requirements, the Senior Logistics Manager shall clearly possess the following knowledge and skills:
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)
