Martek has been awarded several long-term Federal contracts to provide a wide range of Acquisition talent. We are currently looking for a Closeout Specialist II with the required specialized training and experiences outlined below and who also has the ability to manage a rigorous workload for our busy clients. The Closeout Specialist II shall provide closeout / undisbursed obligation (UDO) support. Two types of closeouts shall be performed: quick closeout and closeouts with remaining funding.
Responsibilities & Duties
Responsible may include the executing of administrative functions to successfully execute the functions that are essential to the closing of various types Federal contracts. Those functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
Verify that all invoices have been submitted and paid before closing an order
Obtain concurrences for closeout from the COR and vendor
Draft a modification for contracting officer’s signature
Enter correct information into internal and external financial and business management (i.e FBMS, IPP, FPDS-NG, etc)
Utilize appropriate applications to ensure proper closeout of orders
Provide weekly and monthly reports of closeout activities
Other duties as assigned.
Two years of relevant experience with an Associates’ degree. Substitution of two years of experience for each year of required education is allowed.
Working knowledge and essential skills in standard business office software programs and general office related technologies and equipment and at least one year administrative experience. Intermediate knowledge of contract closeout procedures and techniques commonly used to carry out recurring assignments and perform developmental assignments or segments of contract closeout actions. Familiarity with business practices and market conditions sufficient to evaluate vendor completion. Ability to communicate and present factual information, compose memoranda and meeting minutes, and draft contract provisions and supporting documents.
